Autumn in The County Listening to: Message to Myself: Melissa Etheridge
It is so utterly gorgeous out here in the Fall that I am starting to like the colour orange.
Working out again in a non-kitchen capacity [although that still continues] has been amazing. Something about the path toward 40 that brings a power that reminds me of turning 30, only BETTER.
I have my Halloween costumes [yep, plural] ready for the first time in decades. The childlike excitement is to be credited to the fresh air and the compadres around me. Nothing like a party to get you suited up for spooky nights.
There are patterns in the news I am noticing as I prepare my body for another hibernation-fest called re-writing.
Dinner with lovely friends last night at my fave restaurant was a much-needed reminder of how social life can return.
